its my 87GT 3.4L 5 speed, seems that recently, its real hard to turn left, and seems right turns are stiff also, but not as bad, im starting to think the alignment needs to be checked, but i think the steering rack may be bad also, its the original rack, with 125k miles on it, new inner/outer tie rods, but im starting to think the left inner tie rod is bad as its got some play in it already, quite a bit actually, would that cause the stiff steering on left turns?

tire pressure seems ok at 33PSI

When I first bought my 84 SE the steering was ultra stiff. I greased the tie rods and it got much better.

When was the last time you lubed your front suspension (all of it--not just the tie rod ends)? Dry, worn, or damaged ball joints and/or tie rod ends will certainly make the wheel harder to turn.

Another possibility is a failing steering damper.

im going to check out the steering dampner, its new, along with the upper/lower ball joints, and inner/outter tie rod ends, they were all installed less than 3 months ago, but i guess failure is always a possibility.

all parts lubed up before the wheels ever hit the ground.
