Anybody have the V6 with the oil pressure guage pegged beyond reading and or acting FUNNY? I just changed the sensor (near the battery) today and all seems to be well. Normal readings and not Totally pegged out!!! NAPA is about $40.00 Not cheap but fixes the annoying problem.

Why, it's doing that on the 88 L4 I'm borrowing right now.

It's really annoying.

Mine pegs right out and bounces erratically sp? on idle. I just figured the guage was bad because my low oil pressure light still works fine, when the motor is off. Where is the sensor exactly? I'm going to try and fix it, thanks for the info +

Mine does that too. According to the guy I bought it from (first owner) it did that from the factory. He returned it and had every possible thing checked and replaced several times but nothing worked. My dad seems to think that it could be a bad ground wire somewhere, but we haven't had time to check it out.

The sensor is located near the battery and water inlet. It is just forward (to the front of the car) of the EGR solenoid. It has a 3 wire top connector to it and mounts from underneath. Good luck!
