I have to drive my 85 Muncie 4 speed (3.65) to the shop to get my speedo fixed.

I need to know what rpm to drive 30 mph and 60 mph so I don't get a ticket.

Can anybody help on this one?

with mine i at 1300- 1400 rpms for 30 mph
45 mph is about 1900 rpm
these are all in 4 gear, going 30 in 4 gear you just at the lowest rpm before you will need to down shift if you know what i mean

Thanks guys, That 2200 in second sounds like what I need. My idle currently is 1500.

I don't know if I can realistically get into 4th below 2000 rpm.

Anybody know what 3rd is at 30 mph?

Arn,
On my 85 4 speed 60 mph is around 3100 rpm. The car does not have the original trans in it though and I suspect it has a 4:10 in it.
I take it you have got it running?

It's running but not without it's difficulties.

The secondaries aren't cooperating and I have a chronic drip from my fuel regulator assembly that I can't seem to shake.

Other than that, it sounds really awesome. It is deep and the stock Fiero cam is surprisingly lumpy with a carb. It sounds like an SBC to me, not unlike the old 327.

Keep tuned, I'll be doing pics.

Tomorrow I am trying to get it into PBJ's hands for some necessary work (speedo?)
