Looking at a few Fieros w/out Cruise control. Anybody ever add it ? I have access to a few parts cars, would it be easy

The general consensus is that it would be much, much easier to add an aftermarket cruise system to a Fiero that didn't come with it than it would be to retrofit a stock system. That being said, it is possible, but running the wiring harness to the rear in the stock location will require some significant disassembly.

From what I've seen of the components... to install an oem cruise would take an act of God. Not saying that it couldn't be done, but that the wiring might turn into a nightmare.

Audiovox makes an aftermarket cruise control that's really easy to install. It consists of a servo/brain and a control switch that mounts on the dashboard with doublesided tape. It can take its speed sample from the tach, or from a pair of magnets mounted on one of the axles. You can mount the servo exactly like stock. The good part is that the control head wiring color code matches GM cruise control stalks.
I bought my last one at Pep Boys for under $100 some years ago!

Dave - Please contact regarding my message to Dietmar. Oh- I threw my cruise control out last year; I personally hate the things. I was making room for a turbo install which I never did; YET. Ed
