OK. I just purchased a digital camera so I could post some pics of my problem. I purchased a 1987 GT in pieces that was previously a V8 conversion. Nothing was labled when the previous owner dissasembled it. I have most everything done except the starter and alternator. I am very close to finishing this project and any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Problem #1: I have multiple wires that apear to go to my starter. They all have large lugs on them and fall in the right area to go to the solenoid connections. I just do not know which one goes where. Here are the pics:

Problem #2: The connector to the alternator is damaged and disasembled. I am not sure which wires go to which terminal. The harness comes from the passenger engine wheel well. The harness continues in length with other wires that I do not know where they go. Here are the pics:

Hey tripple8, thanks for the email! You are correct, it looks like the extra wires by the starter are actually ground wires to the block. I still need to find the solenoid control wire for the starter if anyone knows which area of the harness this is in and what color the wire is? Also I still need the alternator wires. I know I have the section of the harness that goes to it but all of the wires are cut and loose. Just need to know wire colors to which terminal. I have a four terminal plug on my alternator.

I will look at the alt. wires tomorrow.
