Question about Code 32

Just got Code 32 tonight………
Might any of theses things that I’m doing cause this?

I’m currently running Ed Parks decarbonzing kit, I’m on my first ˝ of cans/first tank of gas.
I’ve been running the car a lot, letting it idle a lot also, to run out two tanks of gas that are required
for this cleaning……..
Could the cleaning cause a build up, or break up of carbon, that might effect the EGR?

I have no vacuums leaks, the car idles great, between 850/900 rpms

I changed back to my 195 thermostat and 195 switch

The shop manual states:
“Coolant temperature greater than specified amount” may set code 32
while idling my car it did get a little hot, the fan kept turning on.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Michael

only time I think you get a code 32 is when you solenoid takes a crap, or when vacuum to the solenoid isn't what it should be. Maybe some of the throttle body cleaner made it down the vacuum line to the solenoid and did something?....heck, that's really unlikely
Maybe you loosened up some garbage and it's blocking the vacuum line to the solenoid where it connects to the plenum

The little block on the solenoid that has the vacuum line running to the middle of it is a vacuum sensing switch. If it doesn't see vacuum for whatever reason, such as a hole in the vacuum system or EGR valve, or a solenoid that's dead, then the ECM sees the switch not operating and sets a code 32. That is the only thing that sets a 32, nothing else can.

So....? I have a extra EGR Valve, and a couple of EGR Solenoids.....should I start with swapping one of these?
I don't have any vaccum leaks (just checked all the lines/connectors w/ a vaccum pump) unless I just developed a leak in the last 2 hrs...LOL (possible) I'll check for leaks again in the morning.

Got a meter? Trace the wires from the switch to the connector and check that the contacts close with vacuum present, which should be with the engine revved and warmed up. The EGR uses ported vaccum to the solenoid so you won't have vacuum at idle no matter what.
