2=2 seats
M=engine in the middle of the car
4=4 cylinders
and 2m6 is
2=2 seats
M=engine in the middle of the car
6=you guessed it 6 cylinders

2 - Tank only holds two gallons of gas, well it seems like it.
M - Missing (a V8)
4 -Gears

Any other 'alternative' meanings for 2M4 or 2M6

Let's think about some of the other "unofficial" badges:

2M8 - all the V8 swaps
4M8 - Archies Limo
2F8 - Boomtastics Car
2R8 - The reverse longitudinal V8s
1M0 - My parts car

------------------
If you find my advice useful, then please give me a positive rating, thanks...
