ok...this is my 2nd post...just a canadian rookie here..anyway...I want to bleed my slave cylinder...you all talk about a nipple on it.......well quess what.....I dont have one....just have this big ugly screw in thingy........if anyone can help,sure would be greatfull....thanks ... ...I would put a pic....but have no idea how??

The nipple is the big "screw" on top of the slave cylinder. Mine has a small rubber dustcap on top. Remove the dust cap and use a wrench on the hex nut to crack the nipple open, about a quarter turn is sufficient.

thanks guys...but this looks nothing like a brake bleeding nipple.....I have a picture...now if I could just figure out how to post the darn thing?????

The bleed screw on my car was rusted in place, and I had to replace the whole slave cylinder--but even that wasn't a big deal. The replacement I got is a better design. Buy plenty of cheap fluid, since it takes quite a bit to wash all the junk out of the lines. My fluid looked like mud, and the clutch quit working, which started the whole thing. I am amazed the master clutch cylinder is fine!

My bleeding "nipple" was too corroded to seal, ad I couldn't find one individually. Rebuild kits cost as much as the (brand new) Wagner (cast iron) slave cylinder that so many people either love or hate. I opted for the Wagner slave cylinder. It has been almost 4 years without any issues.

I used a mityvac to do a complete hydraulic fluid changeover. One man job that way.
