Yes, but it's going to be a bit of a pain working upside down...

get yourself a set of steel punches. The one of the correct diameter will be required to punch out the centers of the rivets. Then take your drill and drill out the 50 or so rivets that hold the frame to the car. Then it gets tricky, there are tons of glue or more acurately butyl rubber holding the whole mess together. You are going to have to pry it apart somehow. I suggest starting in the front and trying to slide the frame back and then up. It's going to be very difficult. It would help if you had a set of spreaders. good luck

If you find my advice useful, then please give me a positive rating, thanks...

The thing is once you remove the t-top "H" frame that car is either going to have to be a targa or a convertible. You must be thinking targa because the opening after you remove the "H" frame is pretty much all set for targa. If its going to be a convertible then you could simply cut off the rear roof and it would be much easier to remove the "H" frame.

Like JScott said about the rubberize adhesive, it's a pain to seperate the H frame from the car because of it even after the rivets are out. But I would suggest starting in the front as well not as much surface to seperate there compared the back of the frame.

Good Luck,

Earl

I'm assuming then that the yard won't allow a Sawzall either? It would be much easier to cut the A & B pillars and grab the whole roof, then separate the frame at your leisure. I suggest you look at my T-top installation thread and work it in reverse.

Good luck on your junkyard H frame removal.
