Just was curious if anyone else has removed the inner fenderwell's up front or done anything to get rid of them. It looks kind of weird without them but my car is so low I need the extra inch or whatever of clearance cause it is ripping up my tires. Any suggestions and no I dont want to raise my car up, I like it just the way it is. Any custom ideas of getting rid of our nasty fenderwells? This is on a 88.

Don't know if this would work or not, but what if you cut the top part of the wheelwell out? That would give you more tire clearance, but still leave the bottom (the more visible part) of the well intact. Since your car is lowered, most likely the missing top section wouldn't be noticeable. You'd have to find a new way to secure the remaining pieces of the well, but that shouldn't be too hard.

Are you sure that would help? From the pics on your website it looks like you would still rub on the fender itself.

Yeah I am totally sure. I always run negative camber. Right now its set at only -.75 degrees negative. It was wearing a little with the setup I had before. I was going to look at cutting the very top part. I dont think I would even have to get it to be intact because this thick plastic stuff wont really sag. Ill look at it later on tonight.

ummm, it shouldn tear your tire up, it should do the opposite if its just the plastic inner well. mine was rubbing on my tires, and it wore the part that was rubbing right off. tire was fine.

The top of the inner wheelwell attaches to metal, so cutting out the top will do no good. I have a similar small problem on my car because of the big tires. You probably have to change the suspension stops, or get into some serious metal work to change the contour over the wheel.
