the quad 4 was in the 90-92 GTZ's (among other cars, i.e. grand am, calais). the 90 and 91 H.O. was rated at 180 hp, the 92 was rated at 185. they actually have a SOHC version also, kinda crappy though and i wouldn't advise it. you could get a W41 qaud rated at 190 from a oldsmobile Calais 442 (new ones, not the muscle car) and Acheiva SCT...or some special edition..not too many made. actually, good luck finding a W41 quad, alot of them are already taken and if they aren't, they usually have a pretty hefty price on 'em. and if you find one in a Calais and the car is in good shape, i would say screw the fiero (i know, i know) and concentrate on the 442...i guess, they are quite the collectible. you can buy a regular DOHC quad 4 and put in the W41 cams and H.O. manifolds and pretty much make a W41 with out too much work. they got alot of this stuff on mantapart.com. 1995 was the last year for the quad 4, it came in grand am's, cavaliers, and sunfires. in 96 they introduced the 2.4 liter (quad 4 was a 2.3) Twin Cam...essentially the same engine...just a bit more reliable if you ask me...less power than the H.O. though.
as far as puttin one in a fiero, i've heard it's some work, you're gonna need a tranny and some custom motor mounts and computer and things like that. a donor car would be perfect. i'm not too sure on all this cause i've never attempted this or looked into it too far either. i have owned two GTZ beretta's and can tell you that they are a blast to drive (as with most H.O. quad 4's). i owned a 92 and still have a 90 that is under construction at the moment.
