Have a couple of questions. What is the spec. that the firebird flywheel has to be turned down to? What do i do with the tranny wires i don't need and where is the pass key located? I just got the motor today 98 GTP 3800 series II supercharged, harness, computer, about 50,000 miles for $750, I thought that it was a good deal? Any info that you would know can really help me out.

Thank you in advance,

Adam

Just have the firebird-camaro fywheel grinded down to the fiero flywheel thickness. I haven't done odb2 wiring yet so, I can't help with that. If you have a wiring diagram you can find that information. Good price for the engine.

Unused tranny wires can either be left loose and disconnected in the harness (easy) or be totally removed from the harness. (harder). The passkey is actually a device in the car ignition switch that senses that the correct key is inserted. If it is not the right key the car would not start. There are some electronic devices that can be bought to trick the ECM into thinking the correct key is in the car. WCF sells one. Some people have been sucessful without doing anything in regards to the passkey.

Adam, you can download wiring diagrams of the 98 GTP computer system from my website: www.gmtuners.com
As for the tranny stuff, you have a couple of options with that like SKI said or you can do some more "tricking" with the computer to make your drivability better. That info is also on my site.
