the topic says it all Canadian Tire has a engine stand for 59 bux cdn but it only can carry 750 lbs so is that enough for the 2.8 L engine?

Yeah, I was looking at that stand too. It's a great deal. A stock 2.8 with tranny is well ubder 750lbs. I'm not sure of the actual weight of the engine itself but i would guess around 400-450lbs.

Crappy tire also has a 2 tonne shop crane on sale for $250. I might have to pick one of those up too.

Bigger is better, but a 750 pound stand should be just fine for a Fiero 2.8, which is around 450 lbs with the accessories installed.

If you guys have a Princess Auto around, check there, you can usually get a shop crane for under 200 bux.
