Need some help...making a small repair on my front bumper 85 GT....the RPO sticker says 71U Bright Red and 18L Medium Gray Metallic. The repair is on the gray so I bought a can of Dupli-color Med Gray Metallic DSGM-347 and it looks black next to the "original" lower paint...what color, brand paint do you guys use for touch ups for this code?????

You need to use the 18L paint code. You can get it at www.paintscratch.com pricey or you may find some at an auto paint supply house.

As far as the "Duplicolor" eiither the paint wasn't mixed properly or someone switched tops. It shouldn't be black.

Make sure you shake the hell out of the spray can. What you might have is the proper color spray can, but the contents have settled. The darker color could very well be the base color without the metallic content or the lighter colors for the mixture.

Shake well, spray, and let us know!!

Been doing more research...my sticker says 18L but paint scratch doen't have a 18 code, neither does Duplicolor...but the RPO page says 18L is Med Gray Metallic...but it is not even close to the correct color....shook the heck out of the can and had it in the house nice and warm before I sprayed it...must be a Fiero thing.........
