Ok, looks like I may need a new headlight module.. so options are

1. FieroStore $147.00 (ya I said WHAT!! too)
2. An alternate/replacement for the original.

I did some digging and found that the module for the 91 Firebird should work and the one for the Sunbird? (no year provided)..

Are there any others and does anyone have prices on them?

Thanks,

I got one out of a 91ish Firebird in a junkyear if I recall correctly. Look for an F-body ( I think it is only the Firbrid--Camaro andT/A have fixed lights) in the yards with pop-up lights about the year. The F-bodeis with pop-up lights have two system like hte Fiero so you may find some with the 84-86 stlye system. The Friebird I got the controller off of it was located on the firewall up behind the master cyliner.

Is that a good alternative. FYI the Firebird one is the same pn#

You can get one off a 2004 Corvette. See https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/046493.html

The old sunbird with the half door.... It's on the left inner fender easy to get at. I don't know what years.

GM has used that module on allot of cars. GMpartsdirect lists it for "OUR PRICE: $96.55" even with max shipping it is well below Fiero__ore.

The 87-88 Fiero motors were the same motors GM used in the 87-92 Firebird. I would think the control module would be the same as well.

Before buying another module. Take it a part. On the board there are 2 fusable links they are marked F1 and F2. These can be replaced with a thin gauge wire. I have repaired 9 unit for the F-bodies. There was only one unit that this did not work with. If they are bad they will be burnt in half.
