well im in need of a clutch and my question is; are the clutches for the v6 4speed and 5speed the same except for the throughout bearing? the reason i ask is i see 5speed clutches on ebay for decent prices and i was wondering if i could get one and then just buy the 4speed throughtout bearing.

A stock replacement kit for yours shouldn't cost more than $130, at any parts store like Advance or Pep Boys. That's cheap, IMHO, and you don't have to deal with the mail or a questionable supplier. Unless you're building something wild, a stock replacement is all you need.

The flywheel is the same for both engines, and I didn't have much problem putting a clutch on with my isuzu 5 speed (from a 4cyl to a 6 cyl). Make sure the T/O bearing matches the transmission, and that the clutch matches the flywheel (I think they're all the same).

So basically, I believe you are correct in thinking that you can use the clutch if you the throwout bearing for your transmission.
