I bought some from jegs.com, i think it was called super insulation or something. Worked great, just cut it with a scissors, and spray some adhesive on it.

Paul at Fiero Sail has a template that will make it a little easier.

fiberglass matt with the foil backing can be had at any home supply store (lowe's, Home dopot). that and a sharp razor knife ought to do the trick for a few dollars.

I bought this stuff from Jegs:
http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=31207&prmenbr=361

Check the others before you buy, Some are only foil on one side. I bought the it with the foil on both sides. Use 3M high Heat adhesive and aluminum tape to install it. The aluminum tape is for the edges and any seams. It gives it a very finished look.

Here is the thread with pics on what it looks like.

I love when people put that link in....The heatshield in that picture cost me $34 with enough material left over to make a second one if needed. It took me about 3 hrs to make it and an hour to install.

Paul Mckibben makes great products!
