I had a ruptured coolant hose (the small two-inch one that comes out of the termostat housing). Went to GM but no longer available (at least in Germany). The guy recommended using a length of gasoline hose with the same diameter. Did that and solved the problem - but are there hidden dangers?

Thanks

no that should work fine. I have used it for my small coolant lines. just don't get vacume or window washer hose instead. I forget the type of liner that is used in gas line but it is very resitant to most chemicals

Yeah, I think gas lines are higher quality than coolant, washer or vacuum hoses, so you should be good. Just don't run anything but a gas line for gas.
