I disconnected the positive terminal of the battery on my 88 formula and replaced the PROM with a stage 2 upgrade. I then changed the plugs, dist cap and rotor. I reconnected the battery and the car ran beautifully for 2 days. Now when I turn the ignition key on the "service engine" light blinks rapidly and continues to do this even after I start the car. The car is now running like crap. HELP???????

The only instances I have known about where the Check Engine light flashes on an older GM computer (OBDI) is when there is a PROM or CAL-PAK error. Try swapping in your old chip and see if that helps. Check your codes as well.
