I'm curious if anyone has a source for fuel tank straps. Mine were horribly rusted, so I cut them off. I need to find a replacement or make my own.

It wouldn't be too hard to make your own all you'd need it some strap metal about the same size as the straps. Just be sure you shape it just like the originals and secure it just like the originals.

probally better off making your own or finding some in the wrecking yard that is in good enough condition to recondition, Auto zone nor the pontiac delership doesn,t carry them.

Thanks guys, just making sure that they aren't available before I make my own. No sense in reinventing the wheel.

Great topic... just in time too
Just discovered a few days ago that mine are a bit on the crusty side as well.
