Well, the old thread was getting a bit long and it hasn't been posted on since september. I figured it would be a good idea to make a new thread and keep the idea alive.

You can view the old thread here: https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/034929.html

DS21:
How's the system going? Do you have it running yet in your car?

Has anybody set up a Xenarc display in their car?

Plans have changed with me quite a bit since the thread was posted on last. Being a poor college student I dont have the funds for any work on this project yet, but will in the near future (christmas break?). I have buckled and put in a pioneer 1.5 din head unit, so I will have to use it for audio output. I am also going to have to mount the system elsewhere now. I am thiking the passengers footwell or behind the passengers seat.
As for the Xenarc screen I am thinking center console or map pocket. I really like putting my cell phone in the map pocket, so I hesitate to put anything in it's place.

So hows everybody else doing on this?
Cliff, what's up with that program you were working on but couldn't provide details?

I bought a HP eVectra on e-bay a while back P3-733 mhz .13 cpu built in sound, vid, lan. And it uses a laptop barrel plug (19v) for power, I'm using a car-laptop psu right now ($30). Its about 3 1/2" x10" x 11". I've got to take the laptop cd drive out yet and see if I can find a DVD rom to replace it. No screen yet.
