First off, FIERO FIERO FIERO FIERO. There, its fiero related now.

These are questions for someone with good knowledge of the 3800 series 2's and the transmissions.

hohkay, My sister just bought a 94 firebird with a 3.4 SFI automatic. We are having thaughts about putting a 3800 S2 SC into it. After replacing the notorious oil pump drive O-ring, I realized that its really tight back there. I know these cars came with 3800's and 3.4's, the logic is, that these motors all fit into fiero's, and so does the 3800 S2 SC. So, will the 3800 S2 SC fit into the firebird? The clearance issue seems to be only the dashboard to the blower since half of the motor is under the dash. I know the crutial thing to do is to put a 180º U bend on the supercharger for the throttlebody so that the intake can be utilized. We will have to use the 3800 manifolds from the stock firebird, and the harness from it too. We are hoping that we will only have to plug in the ECM and go. Also, We will be using a FWD 3800 S2 SC, so I guess I could either hack the bellhousing on the 4L60-E, or relocate the starter. Also, is the 4L60-E and the 4T65-E considered interchangable electronics wise?
Thanks

There is a similar topic over at www.l67swap.com
I think one thing mentioned was that the hood on '97 or older won't clear the supercharger.

I have a friend who is right now installing a 3800 Series II Supercharged in his 86 Cutlass Supreme RWD. Of the biggest problems he is having, the one that most stands out in my mind is where the throttle body comes off the back of the SC. In stock form, it puts the throttle body right in the firewall. He has to construct some kind of adapter that will hook up to the stock TB mount on the SC and twist around to forward facing for a throttle body. I know ford is using something like this on their lightning trucks and actually the Holden? RWD car uses the same engine and has some kind of cast aluminum 180 degree neck that does just this, at least in the pictures I have seen.
