'87, V6.
At idle its surges between 800-1100 rpm. Just sits there and does a rhythmic up and down. Doesn't seem to bother driving speeds. Any easy fix for a non-mechanic type like me?

Seems like everytime someone has this problem it's a vacuum leak. Might want to check all vacuum lines for cracks. Check the fittings where they connect also.

I've heard you can spray carb cleaner around the vacuum lines with engine running and if you are spraying near a leak, engine will sputter or surge (not sure which)...but there will be an obvious change

I'd be careful if you do that though...could be a fire hazzard

good luck
