is it normal for the injector on a 2.5 to make a clicking or ticking type noise?

i s'pose, but how loud should it be is the real question because im sure they ALL make noise

is it all Gummed up?
with out takeing it off, can you scrape under it with your fingernail and if so , is it clean? id run a bollte or 2 of Cheveron W/ Techron cleaner through the gas and see if that clears anything up

Close, but you want "Chevron Techron" not Cheveron w/ techron.

Well, it's going to make a bit of noise, it's a mechanical thing of course... If you can hear it above the racket of the 2.5's valvetrain, then i'd say its pretty loud! if it really is the injector, it may be worth replacing just because, but make sure it's not just valvetrain noise you hear, the 2.5's are incredibly noisy/thrashy.

I have an 87 Chevy Astro with 4.3 V6 TBI and at idle you can hear both injectors clicking away...however the 4.3 is quieter at idle than the iron duke.

I've had that type of ticking on my 2.8 V6 as long as I can remember. Performs great. Should I be worried?
