Fieros have as much electrial problems as any other 16 + year old car.
Have you been driving it and this happened or what?

Good luck

Check the fusible links coming out of the junction block as mentioned above. Have someone jiggle each one while you try and crank the engine. I bet one is gone. This happened to me. Everything in the car would work, but the engine wouldn't turn over until one link was moved a certain way. Bypassed the fusible link with an inline waterproof mini-knife fuse holder. Probably not the best solution, but haven't had a problem yet.

That will work fine as long as the fuse being used isn't any larger in value as the link it replaces.

When it "turned a couple of times and then nothing...... " was it turning fast or slow?
Quote "someone said timing chain", only in the most severe cases does this happen and is only caused by a broke chain and the engine will lock up. (if it is a manual trans, so will the drive wheels when if gear) It is usually the gears that break by shearing the teeth off. I guess the cam gear could shatter or the chain to break. Chains usually stretch making them longer creating lots of slop and makes the engine hard to time. If that were the problem everytime you hit the starter, there would be a loud CLUNK.
Anything else work? Interior lights? Do they dim or almost go out (if they are working) when you try to start it up?
Is the starter any good?
Why not get a (big) hammer and slap the thing a few times and see if that helps there could be a 'dead spot' on the armature of the starter.
Other wise, check the purple (I think) wire on the starter solenoid and make sure of the connectionis clean and tight and the post(s) do not move.

Without a little more info, it is hard to diagnos your problem.
Is the whole car dead? or just the starter circuit?

Have you tested the battery? Do you know if your voltage guage works right?

You said:

Maybe your alternator died and you used up all the electricity in your battery?

A link for your starting circuit is separate from the rest of the car. Check them all out. One may have blown.
