Looking for the weight of your fiero?
Actually looking for a goal to beat...

And the ugly side of the question, which motor is in it, as it does greatly make a difference to weight.

Also, could someone weigh their front spindle, caliper, caliper bracket, brake pads, rotor, bearings, seals, etc. Really the spindle on out in working condition right off the car.
And could i get a weight of that with and without a factory wheel/tire.

thanks

Hello, if your serious about weight saving use my tilt front clip which weighs slighter more than the stock hood alone, visit us at normsfiberglass.com thanks Norm.

I think I would have to plead guilty to having the lightest Fiero. However, mine is not streetable, it is a highly modified Solo II (autocross) car. It is currently down to under 1700 pounds and may soon be at or below 1600 pounds.

The engine is a 250 pound Cosworth Vega one.

But I don't think that is what you were looking for, right? You were probably thinking of street-legal Fieros.

I think I have the lightest factory frame V6.
Its a race car but its technically still street legal. Hand signals lol . Interior is completely gutted dash, heater box everything. Lots of foot room lol I havent weighed it yet but this spring I will be scaling it. Ive also swapped the spolierd trunk lid for a clean lid. About 20lb weight saviings and its a legal mod. Car has no headlight assemblys but I still have a single wiper and washer sprayer hooked up. Have to have one. I am targeting for the SS class for SSCC so I can only do so much. Stock exhaust is getting tossed for a super trapp straight through. Anouter 20- 25 lb savings. My car probably weighs around 2200lbs. I am probably on the heavy side on that guess. Currently I have the stock tach fuel and temp gauges mounted on a aluminum dash. Need to rearrange it to make it easier to see. Making a roof air intake sometime this winter. Has brake ducting to the front with rear being added this winter too. Lots of work ahead of me besides building a 13:1 comp 2.8 for more power in 2005 I need some pics hopefully this weekend. I COULD drive it during the day but I have a dolly to get it from place to place. Still has a VIN # but needs a saftey.

I believe if you put a pic with a link to a site in your signature that qualifies as a banner ad, and Cliff certainly doesn't approve of that.

Hello again, your right about not putting the site in a signature. I surly do not want to cause any tumoil, and I have tried to contact cliff about putting a banner up, at this time I havent recieved a reply. Im not computer savy enough with the graphics and lay out needed. Thankyou very much for your help, as obviously I would like to have as many members view my site whether they like my products or not, everybody has their own likes and dislikes, which is healthy. You guys are what makes this forum unique and interesting. thanks again Norm.

I think 2200 is optimistic.

I'd bet around 2500 with what you've stripped.

Just slightly over 2,000 lbs. with 2.8 V6 and 4 speed. Oh yeah... no top; shortened rear deck; pretty much gutted. But unlike, 8Shark, ours has working doors. I'll try to find a few pics... and then try to figure out how to post them.

Have you experienced much door sag yet? I would imagine on bumpy roads those doors must in the chassis a fair amount. Do you have plans to eliminate the doors as Gerald (8shark) has, or are you going to reinforce the chassis otherwise?

Pics are always nice!

Couple of pics of the Shark at the 20th.
And Gerald is a great guy to talk suspension geometry with.

1st shot is of the car... 2nd is of the motor.
