how many oil passages are there going to the head of an 87 duke?
here's the problem https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/042393.html
since the car was driven for for so many miles and didnt fall apart;i was thinking that maybe its a plugged up passage.
the weekend before this happened i changed the timing cover gasket and front main seal.
what i'm thinking is maybe some of the rtv sealant came loose after getting hard and clogged it up.
does this sound like something that could happen?
thanks all
shane

All the oil that goes to the cylinder head comes up through the lifters and pushrods, so there are no passages per se.
There are drain holes that allow the oil to drain from the head back to the block and then to the pan.
I don't think it is very likely to have a clogged pushrod.

i'm talking about having a clog around the sending unit or below it,not in the head itself.
