Are the 87 2.8 ECM's different depending on if it is an Automatic or a stick-shift?

I need to replace the one in my car, but cant find and auto's and wondered if a 5-speed ECM would work

Doh - I thought I had an auto one, but it's a manual.. Been so long since I took it out. Was from an '87GT if it matters, but if it would work, I'd sell it cheap. Like $10. Not sure how much they're charging for these things in junkyards today. Sorry I can't help more than that! Anyone???

It's the same ECM, just have to swap the prom.

The ECM's are the same between auto and manual, just swap over the prom. That is different.

Why do you think it's bad? They don't got bad too often.
