Mmmm... Gull wing doors. Not on my To-Do list, but boy do I wish. I'd like to see one, if anybody has done it.

It's been discussed. Gull-wings would be pretty unlikely, since you don't have a frame around the door glass to hinge from. You could design something similar to oversize hood hinges, that mount to the sides of the door and swing outward and upward, but as far as I know, it's never been tried. There was some speculation about possibly scissor doors. Something like that would be more probable.

Maybe i said the wrong thing. i mean like a door that still opens up from the hinges but rotates up like a pocket knife.

Those 'lambo' style hinges dont work too well. I have a Diablo and when the doors open, it swings all over the place. You have to shut it carefully or it misses the jam catch completely. Id rather the Countach and Diablo doors worked conventionaly myself.

Seems like it was "Street Dreams" that was doing the Lambo style hinges...not exactly "gull wing", as they hinge at the top of the door, not the front like the Lambo style does. I saw the pics, but wasn't really impressed with what I saw.

Those are called "scissor" doors.

"gullwing" doors are what the DeLorean and original MB 300SL had.
