i don't mean the exhaust. which of the common swap engines is considered as running most quietly? driving the convertible around with the duke rattling behind me has made me consider this as a factor if a swap becomes possible. thanks.

My 3800 (Series I) is dead silent at idle, not a tick or peep. Of course, that darn supercharger makes a bit of noise.

If you've got a noisy 2.5 then the timing gears are prob pretty much shot. The 2.5 should not be especially noisy otherwise.
