I want to re-do my taillights. The problem is, I've noticed that all of the red parts of the lights are in the square insert portion of the light as opposed to haveing the outer 'lens'/plastic peice/whatever being red.

Is there a place where I could buy some red lexan that would work, or perhaps some red tint?

I don't want to do the clear thing, I just don't like the look on notchbacks, and I hate the square pattern that is inside the older GM tail lights.

Think Trans Am with the later honeycomb mesh and you know what effect I'm going for.

ive seen all over now that Krylon makes a rattle can that comes in alot of various colors , its caled Stained Glass
its a smaller than normal can, i think it would be just what your looking for
