Please help!!!!!!!
I just removed my A/C compressor in my 1987 fiero GT and if that wasn't hard enough when I went to put the two thingys from my old compressor in the back of my NEW compressor one of them broke. The plastic mushroom looking thing broke off of the switch. There were two of these switches that plug (or actually push) in to the back. One of them was red (it was OK) but the other one that has the mushroom plastic top on it broke off.

I went to Advance Auto where I got the compressor and said they don't have these.
Does anyone know what they are called and if they are available anywhere?
I am not sure the guys at Advance knew exactly what these were.

Again ...I had to remove a snap ring and these little things pulled out. The one with the white plastic mushroom on the top of it broke....
Any help would be appreciated..

Just got through with the compressor replacement and I had the same problem. I got a new one from the Fiero Store. It's listed as the AC compressor fan switch.

I looked through all of the ones on the Advance/Parts America web site and never found the ones I needed. I went to FS because they had the right ones and speedy delivery.

Ok thanks for the info but I have another question.
I was just looking at the fiero online service guide and someone on there said that he just leaves this switch off and uses the plug that is in the replacement compressor. He says it is a high pressure switch that turns the fan on when the pressure reaches 280#. He explains that it is not needed because the fan is on all the time any time the A/C Is on.
Any one else ever just leave these 2 switches off?
Mind you the only one that broke for me was the one with the mushroom plastic top on it.
Thanks again for all info....
