I guess it really doesn't matter, because I already bought them. I would like to hear other people's opinions on them.

The parts guy at Napa said these ones in particular I bought are the best they can get. After taxes, I paid $103.73 for them. Thats with my mechanic's discount.

I've heard some folks knock the Gabriels, but I've had their premium gas shocks/struts on my car for about 3 years now and have been quite happy with them. No problems at all. I think Ogre uses them too. Sure, Koni is the best and can be adjusted, but they are so freakin' expensive. The Gabriels are every bit as good if not better than the Monroe gas shocks/struts.

Koni states right on the summitt catalog that their products are meant for the track and that you could be seriously injured if you use them on the street. It says something about potholes and bumps etc.

I imagine they are really stiff and its easy to lose control if you hit a pothole or something.

I have the gabriels and they work just fine. Now once I do up the front I should be golden. I mean even with worn suspension in front the polys and gabriels in back make it feel like I am on rails.

I have them on my '85 SE. They seem to work fine . . . in any case, they are way better than my worn-out stock units.

I've been installin Gabriels on customers cars for a number of years now without any problems with them.

EDIT: Umm actually, now that I think about it, I have gabriels on my wifes blue Fiero, it handles and rides great.

Yes, Gabriel premium product here too...

For best results... If you do the struts also do the shocks.

I just installed the Gab. Gas Ryders on my GT. The performance has been phenomenal...it also helped that I changed upper/lower ball joints and installed new tie rod ends. I noticed what you paid up there in Canada was a little high. The rate of exchange for Canada is substantial versus the US dollar...I ordered the same shocks through Auto Parts Warehouse, and they only charged me $15.00 per shock. No matter the price, the performance is great and you should enjoy them.

I've said it before and now again. . .More expensive doesn't always equal better, I have gabbys on the front and monroes on the back and the car is the most impressively handling car I've ever owned. Much better handling than My GTP, My MX 6, and even my high dollar, AWD Subaru SVX ever had.
