It looks just like a fan setup like a turbocharger compressor housing. My little brother found this and was asking me about it. Is this worth it at all? Would this work? Is the amount of air being blown in considered boost? Or even forced air induction?

This type of add on device is typical of the many useless items offered for sale on ebay. That "turbocharger" is just a small blower fan which will cost you $120 and provide nothing. It puts out as much air as your heater blower motor.
The only electronic supercharger which will provide some boost is a device called the eRAM. This little superspeed electric supercharger draws 50 amps and will give you about 1 psi of boost in a Fiero engine. It's $300 and will probably give you 8- 10 HP more.

wow. $300 for 8-10 HP... Doesn't sound like a very good idea. Anyways, thanks Dennis!

This thing will only function as a restriction on the intake system. It will not provide any boost in power at all. However, since it's a DC motor, if it has permanent magnets it will function as a generator of electricity. The problem is that due to frictional losses, it will produce less energy than is required to run it in the first place. A net loss.

And it looks stupid, too.

2 cu/ft a second times
60 seconds equals

A whopping 120 CFM!

An iron duke draws about 200cfm through the throttle body without anything besides the pistons putting air into the motor.

The 2.5L draws in 275cfm, The 2.8L V-6 draws in 300cfm.

If you hook that up to the engine it will become a restriction. Also Blower fans move air, they don't compress it. The compressing of air is what gives you boost.
