ive always wandered what causes when you start the car you get some smoke?? what causes this could this have something to do with that i have a hypertech chip in and the air to fuel ratio is way off?

depends on the smoke. If it's oil smoke, then it's usually valve guides.

its kinda a whiteish color smoke color

If it smells like oil smoke, then the valve stem seals and/or valve stem guides are worn. Stem seals can be installed on the car.

If it's a whitish blue smoke and only lasts for a few seconds then it's your valve seals and/or your valve guides. Personally, I wouldn't let it bother me. Almost all Fieros with over 80k on them have the same prob. I say prob, but it's not really a prob, but rather a situation that doesn't really need correction unless it bothers you. Good luck.

engine only has like 30k miles on it....

That may be why. 30k THe seals can dry out and get brittle. Or if the engine has gotten hot the same thing can happen.
