Ok I was browsing for the right adapter for our cars when I thought I had it. I found one that was 18x1.5 and I was ready to order it. Until I saw that when I looked it up on TDperformance web site, it says except fiero.

So I call summit, talk to the guy there tell him my problem, and he says he'll send me out the right one. When I get it, its the same darn part number as the one thats 'except fiero'. Hmm.. anyone know what the difference is??

I couldn't find the page that uses the 1050 adapter piece, but this is for the relocation kit, same parts. It also says except fiero.

Well I figured out why they say except fiero, it doesn't fit, lol.

Underneath where the oil filter goes theres not enough room for it to thread on. It hits part of the block that juts out just a bit. Does anyone know the correct part number for the filter bypass??

Will Perma-cool #112 work??

Yep, I just ran into this with an oil cooler sandwich adaptor. My friend has a mill so we took some material off of one edge.

I also have an oil filter relocator like you're looking at. Since it's round you could chuck it up in a lathe and take a bit off the edge so it'll fit.

what about getting a different fitting that goes into the block from another 60* V6 that is in the catalog....jegs might be a better place to look. what is the exact thread pitch of the fitting in the block? i'm gonna need to get an a filter sandwich adapter eventually...

The thread is 18 x 1.5

I wasn't sure if I could just take a dremel to the piece to clearance it a little bit..

Hmm.. Oh well, it was only a $12 piece. I'll give it a try and see what happens..
