I need to pick up my 88 but it doesnt have a cradle in it. Any ideas oh the best way to move it? I was thinking of removing the rear bumper cover and using a ramp truck. I could rest the "trunk" on a dolly of some sort and roll it on to the ramp truck but Im not sure if the trunk will hold the weight of the car.

This is a good question. I have three Fieros I would like to move around my back lot after I take the cradles out. I've thought about using pneumatic caster wheels from harbor freight attached to a beam that went under the jacking points.

I move Fieros a lot. I just put one of those wheel dollies that Harbor Freight sells under the car right in front of the front cradle attachment points. Just place a 4x4 on the dolly so it spans the underside of the car about 4 feet. If you put a dolly under the front wheels you can go any direction.

As long as it is not rusted out the trunk will support a Fiero that has not cradle and engine. I have done this a lot.

I use these http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=38944
bolted to a 5' long 2x10. On the topside of this 2x10, I bolted a 3/4" piece of steel pipe 5' long, through the center of the board. I just lower the car on top of this. There is a half circle notch on both sides of the frame about a foot ahead of the trunk box that the pipe fits into. I can even tow the car with the riding mower across gravel although the trunk box sits very low and sometimes it drags the ground. I may modify it and and another 2x10 or 2, but I think the Harbor Freight wheels are larger than mine.

Box dolly works great!
I've used it a few times.

For those 'cheep' bums like me, I use a pallet crate with some heavy swivel wheels attached, that were hanging around my father's place.... For those that might be 'connected' with Home Depot, they have some excellent 'push carts' with large trolley handles to move the cart/car around!
