ok what if u use the low-output iron head pistons (a little smaller compression height than the HO fiero pistons) along with aluminum heads, i've heard "guesses" as high as 12.0:1 C/R, but does anyone know what the actual C/R ends up being?

any idea what the volume of the cumbustion chamber in the head is? cause with that Its easy to figure out what your CR would be.

You will have Zero quench area, and at that compression ratio. ping ping clatter clatter!!!=DETONATION. You really should look into using something more like Iron headed camaro pistons with the slight dish, as opposed to the heavily dished 3.1 pistons (If that wasn't what you meant in the first place) But the thing is, you should NEVER use your bore as a part of the combustion chamber. And that is what you suggest when you say that you have a lower compression height. basically, you want the piston to almost hit the head, but not quite.
