A couple of questions for those of you running SCX 5 speed getrags:

Which belhousing are you using, if not using a Quad4 motor? And if not the Quad4, what motor do you have it mated to?

Which axles are you using? Do the manual Fiero ones work?

Will Rodney's FWD tranny kit adapt the tranny into the Fiero?

Do the manual Fiero trans mounts fit to the SCX trans?

I am hoping to answer these questions before I shell out for the transmission.

The SCX 3.94 posi trans only came on the 92-93 Achiva.That trans will only fit a quad 4 from any year. The axle from any Gm standard fwd trans will work. A word to the wise, these trans have an internal slave unlike the fiero external slave. You would have make some sought off an adapter for the line to be able to use the internal slave. Another way you could use the SCX trans is to split the case and put the 2.8 bell housing onto the trans. Then it can be bolted back into the Fiero like stock.

If I find one of these tranny's.. Can I use the LSD in a regular 5spd getrag?

Grr... my topic! just kidding As far as I know, the only SCX achievas that came with the torsion limited slip trans were the SCCA prepped W41's. A very small number of these were produced. The majority of w41 achievas have the open diff. version.
Please correct me if I am wrong... and awnser my above questions if you know enough to say I am wrong.
