Has anyone done a swap on fiero with 97 gtp 3800 sc?
If so what did you do with wires for fast and slow running relays (ex. fuel pump, fan motors).

Also what did toy do about the anti theft system , if you didnt get the key with motor?(how to wire from pcm?)

Thanks for any answers.

I am assuming you are speaking of the 2 speed fuel pump relays and the 2 speed fan relays? right?

Are you using a stock (non-reprogrammed) PCM? If so, you will need to put relays on each of the PCM outputs that control relays or you will get a check engine light and possibly some drivability problems.

For the 2-speed fuel pump relays (assuming you have this), just hook both relays up like the diagrams for the PCM shows and then simply connect both outputs from both relays together for the fuel pump. You can do the same thing for the cooling fan.

Antitheft gets a little tricky. I am assuming you have Pass-Key II? If so, you will either need to build a bypass circuit (search the internet) or get the pass-key module from the GTP donor car and measure the resistance of the key that matched it and then wire in the appropriate resistor on the key pellet sensing wires.

If you need wiring diargram I can hook you up.

As I have recently discovered, the '97 thru 99 GP's do not have Pass-key, but do have an anti-theft feature in the BCM. As I've been told, you will still need the "cheater" module from Rockcrawl's site http://www.fieroaddiction.com/ or equivalent. The circuit would connect to pin 70 of C1 (the blue PCM connector). Check out this site for info on the 97 swap http://mickeyash.tripod.com/

BTW, I'm doing a 98 swap right now.

There is another, (cheaper), way to correct the problem of 2 spd outputs to a single speed fan or pump. You will be connecting only the low speed output wire to your single spd fan or pump relay. Connect the high spd output to a 1/4 watt, 670 ohm resistor, (the approximate resistance of the relay coil), to ground. This "tricks" the ECM into thinking there is a relay there. It makes for a little cleaner harness too.

Couldn't you just connect both wires to the same relay? Both outputs would see the same voltage drop.
If feedback to one output proved a problem, just wire a diode in series with it.
Dont know if it would work, but someone could try it!

A diode on each driver with the cathode (line) pointed towards the PCM would isolate the relay drivers from each other. Not sure how it might affect the diagnostics, though, but it should work.
