the 2.8L Someone said that they were a dirsect swap... Is that correct??

Physically, yes, they will fit but will not run properly without serious modifications to both breathing of the engine and the code of the ECU to tweak it. These would be a good choice for a motor cranking out around 200-210 HP.

Adding more fuel to your engine, without increasing the air flow, will make your engine run very rich. The ECM will try to compensate as much as it can and you could end up with a very erratic running engine.
