Stray thought.

Has anyone ever...

  • ...thought of adapting the auto-tensioner from another engine's serpentine belt system to the 2.8?
  • ...(successfully) done it?

I have thought about it but Decided to make a Belt Tensioner tool to help the process. Once I get my other 3 projects (Dash Kits, BugEye Light, and Secret Project) off the ground and running I will be producing them for $15 each.

Oh I don't have a problem with adjusting the tension. Ratchet + prybar + patience = done.

It's a problem with the belt keeping the tension.
