Hmm... does that mean my 115V MIG won't be able to properly seal the holes in it? (I'm an amateur welder, and from what I understand my MIG can't handle Stainless?)

mine had a crack in it and I brazed it shut.

Im not sure the stock ones were stainless - but I know you can get stainless replacements from thefierostore.com

To weld stainless you have to have the right gas mix for it, IIRC it's something like 98-2, 98% argon and 2% O2, also the stainless on the EGR tube is really thin, so unless you have lots of experience welding material that thin you are likely to just blow a bunch of holes in it. In any case, you need to have the right wire for it as well, regular mild steel wire won't work properly.

yep, jazzman's right about the thin part, no matter how low you set your mig, it will probably blast holes in the tube. You can however braze it. thats what they did from the factory. Just make sure you clean everything REALLY good first.
