I was reading up on someone's 3800SC swap and saw something about not being able to use the V6 throttle cable as it is too long or something and without serious modifications it is a good idea to use the 87-88 4 cyl Cable? Is this true or can the V6 be modified fairly easily? Just kind of wondering.

Use the 87-88 4 Cyl cable. It works pretty good. The V6 cable would be difficult to modify to use.

My car was an 85 4cyl 5spd. The original cable worked fine with my swap.

I modified my 88 GT cable to make it work. I just cut the cable to make it the desired length.

I used the 88 cable cut it off where that little bracket is then put a cylinder on the end of the cable, tightend it up and used blue lock tight. Works like a charm
