Anyone know about ThermalWeld? Does it actually fix blown head gaskets? If you've never heard of it, would you try it? The cost is aprox $300.

I just need a quick fix for my blown head gasket. I've been saving up for a swap in the near future and I hardly have time to replace the gasket myself because of work and I don't want to pay a grand for a mechanic to do it since I could use that $ towards the swap. I just need my car to drive me to work and back reliably since it's my daily driver. I'll most likely end up taking a personal day off work and replacing it myself, I just wanted to hear any opinions on this "ThermalWeld".

$300 for a quick fix?!?!? At that price, you're well over halfway to having it fixed the right way in many shops. Don't rely on a quick fix for a head gasket, especially on the Fiero which has a rather LONG cooling system. Too big a chance for something else to get gummed up instead of your leaky head gasket.
