I may be adding two 20 watt fan motors on my car...what is the rating on the standard alternator? WIll adding the two motors put a large load on the ALT?

It varies depending on what accessories you have, but it is as much as 1,500 watts peak load. Your two fans will be drawing a minimum of power from the system. For example, the HVAC blower fan uses over 120 watts at full speed.

if you have the small SI style you can get them up to 94 apms

Well... due to my name sake here...

It goes P=E*I
where:
P=power (watts)
E=voltage
I=current

So, 40 watts (2*20 watt fans)=12V*3.33amps

More like 40/14 = 2.85 since the nominal voltage of a properly running car is around 14.

Wouldnt worry about it. Most car stereos use more juice than that.
