I have access to an 1988 cradle. Like most Fiero owners, I appreciate the revised suspension. Can I simply bolt it in my '85 Duke? What needs to be done? Thanks guys...

It will bolt up but you will have to get the coilover setup along with the strut top relocator as the 88 strut towers are closer and the strut mounts about an inch or so forward towards the front than the 84-87 strut towers are so the stock 88 coils will hit the tower and the camber will be out of spec http://www.heldmotorsports.com/88cradle.htm

If you are on budget you can mod the original 88 strut ears where they mount to the knuckles and bring the camber geometry back into spec and use the original the 88 coils in the stock 84-87 strut mount location

The bolt patterns in the strut towers are different for '88. If you mod the struts, you'll have to use the early car's top plate.

You can just redrill the holes for the 88 top plate as it is a slightly smaller bolt circle pattern, that way you dont have to dissasemble the strut/spring package. I did this on one of my 86's.
