I have pulled the heads on my 85 GT with the 2.8L V6 to fix a leaky head gasket. My question is what exact gaskets should I use Permatex gasket sealent on. I now not to use any on the head gasket. But how about the rest of the gaskets.

Just a thought but i used permatex to seal a gas petcock on a dirtbike once...not a good idea.The gas softened it up and it ended up in the fuel line and plugged the main jet

Use good gaskets (GM or FelPro) and pretty much stay away from the stuff. You would use it on the front and rear of the lower intake, across the block. Let the gaskets do their job on most everything else. At the dealership we always used liquid teflon on the headbolts and any bolts that went into a coolant jacket.
