That silver box is the electronic brain of the car, called the ECM for Electronic Control Module. Without it the car will not run. It also holds any error codes that are generated for reviewing at a later date. There is further explanation of it's function in one of many service books available.

The one on the drivers side is for the cruise control and the one on the passengers side is the sub amp.

Just noticed you are in the UK. By drivers side I mean the left (drivers side in the US).

Thanks for the reply.

now I c why my new 3800 S2 S/C will run only for 2 secs and then stall. I didn't connect that when I started the engine for first time.

the other things I have't connected yet is 1) the exchaust system with the second O2 sensor.
2) the air filter
3) The sensor in Photo 4 (no.1) that I don't know where it goes.

4) This socket I don't know where it goes.

But I quess I have to connect this silver box again tommorow morning and try again.

If you know anything about 3 & 4 please let me know.

Thanks

Kostas

That silver box is definatly the amplifier for the factory subwoofer system. The gray connector in photo #4 plugs into the sensor right above it that is metal with the white connection which is a knock sensor. That second plug looks like something on the stock Fiero harness that plug into the trans for the reverse switch.
