OK. broke off two bolts that hold the front sway bar to the frame when I was attempting to replce the bushings with poly. I tried drilling out the old bolt, to no avail. I ran out of time and patience to attempt any other type of repair, so I removed the front sway bar completely.

I do plan on fixing this problem soon, but I just don't have time to do it before I drive off to Vegas tomorrow.

My question is this.....how adversely will my handling be affected and will it create other problems for me in the future?

It is about a 1500 mile round trip for me, so I want to make sure it is relatively safe. I am assuming that it won't handle as crisply as before, but will it be dangerous to drive?

Thanks!

It won't be dangerous to drive, but do expect quite a difference in handling. You'll experience more body-roll, etc. If you take it easy, you should be ok. It's not something you'll want to leave off indefinitely...

You'll be fine. Less front roll stiffness will make the car understeer less (or oversteer more) so be careful taking corners hot until you figure out how it handles. You might want to find a parking lot to play in for a few minutes to see how the handling is affected.

As far as driving down the interstate, though, you probably won't even notice.

Not having the bar will affect handling.

How much depends quite a bit how bad the rest of the suspension is.

You can drive without it but be really careful until you get used to the change. It's likely to be very noticable under some conditions.

I've had cars without the sway bar... Not real fun in a turn. Especially a hard turn.
